Inspired by African Creativity

My Father was self-taught in English, Idowu Ajayi of Ebute Meta Lagos Nigeria, completed his WSA Course with honors. He tops his achievement at the Washington School of Art with First Prize, “Early Morning Milking” in 1972.

While growing, I was able to witness the magical strokes of his brushes and the satisfying smell of oil paint on canvas.

I watched my father transformed white blank canvases into an amazing piece of arts,

During my junior year in college. I received the news that will forever change my perspective in life. I lost my father to prostate cancer. I was so devasted and sad, then I promise myself to keep painting to keep his memory alive.
